MEET JULIA

Hey girl, hey!

15 years behind the lens. 10 years doing boudoir. Zero apologies.

I started my career as a makeup artist, which means I’ve been making women look and feel incredible for longer than most photographers have been holding a camera. When I picked one up myself, I never put it down.

I moved to Houston, built SHINEon from scratch, and spent the last decade shooting boudoir exclusively — because it’s the most honest, most challenging, and most rewarding work I’ve ever done. Every session is different. Every woman surprises me. That never gets old.

I’m a mom of three girls and four French bulldogs, which means my house is loud, my life is full, and I have zero time for anything that isn’t genuine. That carries over into my work. I’m not here to sell you a fantasy — I’m here to photograph you, exactly as you are, and show you something true.

I love art in all its forms, I have strong opinions about light, and I will coach you through every single pose so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands.

The Studio

The experience that takes place in our studio is definitely unique. I love the loft because of it’s gorgeous light and exposed brick walls, but it’s so much more than just a backdrop for your images. The space is filled with positive vibes and all the good energy to set your session off in the right direction.

    This was my first time doing any kind of photo shoot and they were extremely helpful in positioning me and making sure no matter what, I had beautiful pictures.
