3 You’ll receive a Prep Guide with everything you need to know: what to bring, how to prepare, what to expect on the day.
4 Show up. Hair & makeup first. Then Julia takes care of everything else. ✨
Quick Answers Before You Book
The session fee is due at booking and covers your studio time, professional hair & makeup, and access to our client closet. Your photos and products are chosen at a separate reveal appointment after the shoot — no pressure, no surprises.
Not at all! Julia coaches you through every single pose — where to put your hands, how to angle your chin, where to look. Most clients say they were shocked by how natural it felt. You literally don’t need to do anything except show up.
Bring your favorite lingerie, robes, heels, or any outfits that make you feel like yourself. We also have Maven Black — a curated lingerie boutique located right inside the studio — so you can shop for the perfect look the day of your session, or browse ahead of time at mavenblacklingerie.com. After booking, you’ll receive a detailed Prep Guide with exactly what to bring and how to prepare. Most clients do 2–4 looks during their session.
Absolutely not — that is 100% your choice. You should never feel pressured to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Intimate, powerful photos can be created at any comfort level. I have never had a bad experience with any client, and I don’t plan to start now!
Life happens! Please reach out directly to Julia at julia@shineonboudoir.com or call 832-857-0088 to discuss rescheduling. The session fee is non-refundable, but you are welcome to reschedule one time within six months of your original session date. Please note that a reschedule fee does apply.
